Philips 855 Fashion TV Special Edition makes Fashion Week debut

Amsterdam, Sep 29, 2004 - Elevating the mobile phone from an accessory to a fully-fledged ‘must-have’ for anyone hoping to keep ahead of the latest trends, Philips has joined forces with international broadcaster Fashion TV to launch the Philips 855 Fashion TV Special Edition.

Making its’ debut at the time of the prêt-a-porter collections in Milan on September 30th, this stylish limited edition phone will be available in selective countries across Europe from October onwards and is likely to be top of the accessories list with anyone interested in fashion.

A perfect marriage of style and technology, the Philips 855 Fashion TV Special Edition integrates exclusive embedded Fashion TV content, including footage of the autumn and winter collections from the catwalks, welcome animation, images for wallpaper and MMS, ringtones and a demo animation.

Even the packaging has been specially designed to ensure that style is never compromised and includes a silk cleaning cloth and black velvet pouch co-designed by Philips and Fashion TV art director, Nathalie Léon.

Available in a choice of black or white colour options, the Philips 855 Fashion TV Special Edition is the phone of choice backstage this season and Fashion TV viewers can see for themselves just how popular the phone is in the world of fashion, with regular broadcasts of footage of the phone in action from behind the scenes at the FTV Model Awards.

The Launch Events
Fashion TV is hosting a series of parties across the fashion capitals of Europe to showcase the Philips 855 Fashion TV Special Edition. Philips and Fashion TV are also joining forces with the world-renowned Milan Istituto Marangoni to present the first models of the phone to three of their most talented students on September 30th in The Old Fashion in Milan. Other parties will take place on October the 9th in Paris in La Suite, and on October 30th in Moscow.
